Dinner in a Box...

Dinner in a Box: half purchased & half bought. I would have made more, but I had to work a bit later the day I brought in dinner to a friend. The other side of the box (you cannot see because I took a strange short picture) includes lettuce, sour cream in a small container & of course chips.

One Direction...

If you have a 12 year old like K...then you have probably heard this song enough to want to clean a room in your house (wherever it's not playing) because the "teen" will play this over & over.

K adores One Direction x 1,000.

My first concert was Sir Mix A Lot (I know what you are thinking...I'm thinking the same thing). I was so desperate to see him that I stuffed my bed to look like I was a sleep, climbed out of my bedroom widow (fell out), 2 hr drive, got lost in another city & ended up only hearing one song because my friend & I got lost. After the concert, he sat behind these hideous velvet ropes and people just watched him. It was the most exhilarating night...I cannot lie...until we had to drive 2 hrs back, try to climb back in my window without getting caught. The teen brain in all it's glory.

SO I understand...however, they are not stopping in Salt Lake & therefore, she will keep playing this album over & over. How lucky am I?

David Chang and Momofuku Milk Bar...

You need to know right up front that I'm a total David Chang devotee...hello Martha get in line behind me. If you have not tasted Crack Pie or visited any of the Milk Bar locations in NY then you must make this pie this weekend. It is the most addictive pie and reminds me of summer...

You can download the recipe here, but know you have to follow the recipe. The crust is life changing, but we never end up chilling as long as it's suggested because everyone ends up eating it before the hours of chilling time are through.

Think about buying the Momofuku Milk Bar Cookbook...

And if you haven't been to Momofuku (NY, Sydney, Toronto) then you should buy his cookbook or you can borrow mine. It will change your life...all over again.

Katie Couric meets the Queen of England before her Diamond Jubilee

Katie Couric did a surprisingly better job than I thought she would. I am not a fan of hers, but the overall program was informative. You have to watch these videos from ABC's 20/20 program that aired last night. You can see the whole show here: abc.com
